    Available in a wide range of colours and finishes including solid and metallic, special effects colours, timber, corten and copper. Colour matching and our comprehensive custom graphics solution (VitraArt) can be applied to either Vitracore G2 or Vitradual. Both panel types can also be custom designed to a range of shapes and dimensions, for the ultimate design flexibility. Vitradual can also be perforated or curved in some applications, adding an extra layer of texture and depth to your design.

Vitracore G2 is the ideal façade product for all types of construction, from residential developments to large-scale government infrastructure projects. The lightweight nature of the panels aid the installation procedure and efficacy, reducing overall construction cost.

Vitradual

Solid Aluminium

Vitradual is a 3mm non-combustible solid aluminium cassette façade cladding system suitable for Type A and B constructions and is a high impact resistant, solid panel which can be fabricated, curved and rolled.

The solid aluminium panels are pre-finished with high-quality PVDF paints, tried and tested for proven vitality and durability. Vitradual is available as a perfect colour match or our comprehensive custom graphics solution (VitraArt) can be applied. Energy Efficiency 

Whether residential or commercial, new buildings must be designed in a way to maximise thermal and energy efficiency. New residential projects must now meet a 7-star minimum for thermal performance, and must remain under a whole-of-home annual energy use budget. Commercial buildings must also take a more sustainable approach to their occupants’ lifestyles and environment – including installing features that facilitate future onsite renewables usage as well as requiring less maintenance over the building's lifetime.

Fire-Safety 

Fire safety requirements have been updated – but the 2019 clause regarding bonded laminates has been retained, and all laminate products must be non-combustible. A new provision also prohibits the fixing of certain bonded laminate cladding panels by adhesive only. 

Boasting Codemark certifcates of conformity and deemed non-combustible according to AS 1530.1 and AS 1530.3, both products are deemed to satisfy NCC requirements, giving you choice, creativity and safety when it comes to cladding panels.

Condensation Management

The NCC update has added a mould index, additional provisions for vapour permeance, and enhanced ventilation requirements for certain spaces. 

Moisture ingress and condensation is one of the most common causes of defects in Australian buildings today. A drained and ventilated façade cavity is recognised as best practice in providing a high level of moisture management. Vitradual's technical details reflect this, with openings at top and bottom of walls designed to encourage air flow and allow the cavity to remove any condensation or other moisture. Whereas for Vitracore G2, the panels are suitable for use in back-ventilated and drained cladding systems. Any water collecting in the cavity owing to rain or condensation will be removed by drainage and ventilation.

Waterproofing 

An unprecedented provision in the NCC has been added to cover the waterproofing of wet areas, including shower walls, wet area floors and graded membranes.  The accumulation of moisture over time ultimately results in damage to the building and risks to occupant health and safety. 

When installed as per manual to BCA Clause FP1.4, Vitradual and Vitracore G2 are weatherproof, waterproof and able to protect your façade and the building beneath against moisture, rain damage, hail and other extreme weather conditions.

Weatherproofing 

The new NCC changes include solutions for weatherproofing external walls, including where metal wall cladding or sheeting is used. Appropriate sarking should be used to improve waterproofing, and cladding with system-based weatherproofing, including suitable wind load strengths, is recommended.

Performance  

The new NCC quantifies the performance of building products, including their fire resistance, velocity, water efficiency, microbial growth and more. Quantifying performance requirements for key areas ensures products used can be clearly proven to satisfy standard requirements, without any leeway for a subjective grey area.

3000 or 5000 Grade Aluminium

We've Got You Covered

There are seven different alloys (or blending agents) commonly used in aluminium manufacturing. Each series starts with a number between one and seven – that number identifies what alloying element has been added to the aluminium. Specifying the suitable grade of aluminium for your project, be it industrial or architectural, will depend on the qualities of that alloy. Different alloys have different benefits, including workability, corrosion resistance, heat treatability, electrical conductivity, strength and flexibility.

The most common aluminium used in the general construction and fabrication industry is 3000 or 5000 series. Whilst third-party testing has demonstrated superior performance of 3000 over its 5000 counterpart, at Fairview we understand different projects may have different requirements. Fairview can supply Vitradual in 3000 or 5000 series aluminium.

An overview of the two series is listed below

3000 Series

These alloys contain manganese and are often used for food equipment and buildings. This series is preferred for buildings as the panels are more rigid providing increased spanning performance, have improved machinability and are highly corrosion resistant.

5000 Series

Known as ‘marine grade’,  5000 series aluminium is alloyed with magnesium. The panels are corrosion resistant but non-heat treatable; hence 5000 series is widely used in fabrication such as transportation, tanks, vessels and bridges.
